In more severe RSV infections, shortness of breath, wheezing, rapid breathing and trouble breathing can occur.1-3 Lower respiratory complications, such as pneumonia, can also occur in older adults.1,2
Compared to younger adults, being an older adult can be associated with a higher rate of severe infections from RSV and may also lead to hospitalisation.2,4,5
